The Wild Geeze @ Laurelbank Farm

  • Laurelbank Farm 121 Middle Road Ballynahinch, Northern Ireland, BT24 7LS United Kingdom (map)

We’ve had supper clubs. We’ve had willow weaving classes. We’ve even had a couple of gigs at Laurelbank Farm…

But we have never, ever, ever had eco-feminist queer cabaret! Until now….

I saw Breda Larkin and Laura Lavelle (aka The Wild Geeze) at the Sugar Club, Dublin earlier this year. And after a inspiring rap about native Irish trees (more specifically, a lack of them), and jokes that feature soil microbiology - I instantly wanted them to perform at the farm.

And by some miracle, that’s exactly what is happening. During Belfast Pride weekend no less!

There will be food (I’m cooking the best chilli ever). It will be BYO.

And I have no doubt it will be a night to remember. Their cabaret defies expectations, combining fierce feminism with enchanting harmonies, vagina puppets and biting social commentary.

Over 18s only. Expect adult content and themes!

I’ll see you there!
